Owen's Story: A participant study

Owen's Story

7 year old Owen has a rare genetic disorder. This film follows the family's journey as participants in the 100,000 Genomes project, an NHS initiative "transforming the way people are cared for and bringing advanced diagnosis and personalised treatments to all those who need them".

Commissioned by Genomics England, a company set up and owned by the Department of Health and Social Care.

Working with Satya Films has been a delight from start to finish. They was able to distil what we wanted to convey through a patient journey, into a heart-warming short film that now I constantly roll out at every opportunity, both internally and externally. The film was very well received by both colleagues and the family that the story focuses on – and that’s the most important part, to make sure the family’s perspective is heard and represented. Thank you so much for all your efforts in making this film something we are proud to show off.
